Edna Ronk

Edna Marie (Millett) Ronk "Nanny", one of five children of Juanita Faye (Beeman) and Fred George Ronfeldt, was born on May 5, 1948 in Mineola, Iowa. She grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa and attended school at Lewis Central. Edna and Gary Lee Ronk Sr. were married on March 4, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska. With much traveling, their marriage was blessed with five children: Cindy, Gary, Micheal, Toby, and Diana. Edna was a homemaker and busy mother. She enjoyed quilting and knitting and also liked camping and fishing. Edna served as both a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader while her children were growing up. She loved to volunteer any time she could. Above all, Nanny loved being a grandma and spending time with her grandkids. About three years ago, Edna and Gary moved to Malvern, Iowa. Edna passed away at their home on February 24, 2012, at the age of 63 years, 9 months, and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Millett.
