sense of humor and was always willing to help others. Faith in the Lord, her family, and especially her grandkids, were most important to her. Lola and Orlo were married 54 years when Orlo died on October 17, 2000. Lola continued to live in their home, caring for her flowers, feeding the birds and her cats, "Gert" and "Doris", and watching the deer and wildlife. Lola passed away on March 6, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 1 day. She was preceded in death by two infant siblings; her parents, Herman and Alma Knop; husband Orlo Jones; son-in-law Karl M. Hertz; brothers, Louis Knop and wife Alma, Walter Knop and wives, Helene and Lucille, Everett Knop and wives, Marie and Vivian, Alfred "Fritz" Knop and wife Evelyn; sisters, Lucille Miller and husband Lloyd, Vanda Christiansen and husband Jack, Darlene Staerker Walker and husbands, Donald Staerker and Floyd Walker, and Viola Green and husband Howard; brothers-in-law, Fred Smardo and Jack Rose; and sister-in-law Blanche Knop. Lola is survived by her children, Woody Jones and wife Barb, Greg Jones and wife Cheryl, and Terry Hertz, all of Malvern, Rick Jones of Omaha, Tam VanDerVeer and husband Jim of Knoxville, IA, and Elaine Jones of Des Moines, IA; nine grandchildren, Dean Jones and wife Connie, Jeannie Barney and husband Terrance, and Gary Jones, all of Malvern, Trent Jones of Maui, HI, Zack Jones of Malvern, Karl E. "KE" Hertz and wife Teresa of Douglas, WY, Keith Hertz and wife Krista, of Maui, Kent Hertz of Los Angeles, CA, and Bee Jay Scott of Otley, IA; eleven great grandchildren, Caleb and Gabe Barney, Jakob, Megan, and Kiley Hertz, Hudson, and Naiya Hertz, Hunter and Camden Jones, Caley Jo Schroeder and husband Josh, and Elizabeth DeLong and fiancé Ben Brammer; great-great granddaughter Olivia Brammer; brother Lester Knop of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister Della Smardo of Leawood, KS; sisters-in-law, Eileen Rose of Vincennes, IN, and Evelyn Stephens of Coos Bay, OR; nieces and nephews; cousins and other relatives; and many, many friends. A memorial fund has been established.
