t he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Anamosa. Maynard loved camping, dancing, gardening and traveling. He also enjoyed fixing and refurbishing cars and campers. He especially enjoyed attending his great-grandchildren's sporting events. Maynard is survived by his wife, Helen Bartels of Maquoketa, IA; his children, Bonnie Ireland of Waverly, TN, Nancy (Joe) Bolduc of Houston, TX, and Gayla (Don) Ohde of Cedar Rapids, IA; step-children, Kenny Sanger of Maquoketa, IA, Donnie (Pam) Sanger of Port Orchard, WA, Jim Sanger, Sr. of Davenport, IA, Gary (Brenda) Sanger of Maquoketa, IA, and Dennis Sanger of Maquoketa, IA; 6 grandchildren, Sean, Kelley, Amy, Alex, Jacob, and Jackie; 4 great-grandchildren, Maeve, Nicky, Casey and Brenden; 5 step-grandchildren, including Shelley; 10 step-great-grandchildren, including Storm and Lexie; a brother, Dean (Ellie) Bartels of Freeport, IL; and sisters, Inez Tucker of Hopkinton, IA, Delores (Bob) Mohr of Hopkinton, IA, and Phyllis Fulwider of MN.
