James Franklin Lewis

Rev. James Franklin Lewis Sr, went home to be with our Savior on Thursday April 12, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born to Frank and Ann (Kilburn) Lewis on November 21, 1948 in Hamilton, OH. He married the love of his life Sylvia June 3, 1969. They moved to Germantown in 1973 and started working for Runyon Trucking in Carlisle working there 30 years retiring 2004. He accepted Christ into his life in 1974. His true calling was bringing people to the Lord. He was Senior Pastor at Victory Tabernacle beginning in 1998 until his death. He loved helping people in any way he could and was an inspiration to many people and loved to make them laugh. He will be greatly missed by many people and by his church family at Victory Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ann, 2 brothers Billy and Larry, 2 sisters Martha Sanders and Brenda Koelblin, and 1 niece Mary Ann Frost. He is survived by his wife Sylvia (Dennis) Lewis; 3 sons Bobby Lewis (Amy), Gary Lewis (Freda), James Franklin Lewis Jr. (April); a daughter Tammi Lewis Bethel 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Diane Brown and Melody Frost.
