Thomas Frank Rutherford

Thomas Frank Rutherford, 72, Tipton, died Friday, April 13, 2012 in his home from pulmonary fibrosis. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 10:30 AM, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Inland Cemetery, Bennett, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Fry Funeral Home. A memorial to the Cedar Street Baptist Church has been established. Tom was born on April 22, 1939 in Thompson, IL and was the son of Orrie S. and Ellen M. Cheatum Rutherford. Tom received his GED and graduated from Clinton High School. On September 4, 1965 Tom was united in marriage to Carm Myers in Clinton. Tom was a machinist, millwright, heavy equipment operator, jewelry maker and was a member of the Cedar Street Baptist Church for nearly 35 years.
