arches and a good game of sheepshead. Jim was a man who loved helping others. He was always cracking jokes and telling stories. He shared his love of collecting John Deere toy tractors with his family and friends. Mr. Schmidt is survived by his wife, Deb, and their three children: Jennifer, Joseph and John, all of Cedar Grove. He is further survived by his mother, Dolores of Cedar Grove, sisters Linda (Richard) Rose of Cedar Grove and Patricia (Gerald) Moriarity of Glenbeulah, sisters-in-law Kathy Schmidt of Cedar Grove, Carol (William) Meyer of Waldo and Janis (George) Evanoff of Centerville, UT. Other survivors include aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar, brother John "Jack" Schmidt and parents-in-law Edgar and Mary Ellen Antoine. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, April 24th at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Road LL, Port Washington. He will be laid to rest the following day at St. Mary Parish Cemetery, Belgium. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 4-7PM. Memorials are suggested to the National Stroke Association, the American Diabetes Association or to Open Door Bible Church.
