Mrs. Cyrene F. Wagner, 87, of Danville died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at her home.
Born on September 25, 1924 in Danville, Iowa, she was the daughter of Fred D. and Bertha Parrott Mathews. On June 5, 1942 she married Robert Wagner.
Cyrene graduated from Danville High School in 1942. She was a homemaker who also helped her husband on the farm.
She belonged to the Ten Club, and the Danville Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and quilting and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of Danville United Methodist Church and the Methodist Circle.
Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Wagner of Danville; one daughter, Patricia (J.D.) Stucker of Danville; two sons, Tom (Becky) Wagner of Danville and John (Beverly) Wagner of Amana; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Kathleen H. Mathews of New London; one brother, Wendell P. Mathews of Mesa, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
The funeral service for Mrs. Wagner will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 25th at Danville United Methodist Church. Pastor Carrie Duncan will officiate with interment being held in Jagga...[more]
