Betty J. Davis

Betty Jean Davis was born on February 9, 1947 in Huron, South Dakota, the daughter of Charley and Amelia (Fassler) Davis. Betty entered into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Nebraska Medical Center following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. Betty's life was spent primarily in the communities of Southwest Iowa. She attended Shenandoah Elementary School through the 3rd grade then attended school at the Glenwood State School. She later went to work with Nishna Productions at their Shenandoah and Red Oak locations. Betty was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Shenandoah. She enjoyed watching DVD movies and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved her cat "Ginger." Betty had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother LeRoy Davis and wife Barbara of College Springs; sister Marilyn McCoy and husband Garlen of Shenandoah; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
