Donald E. Edwards, 78, of Zwingle, Iowa, died on Monday, April 30, 2012, at his home in rural Zwingle, Iowa. A celebration of Donald's life will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, May 3, 2012, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be in the Streets Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. Donald Eli Edwards was born on June 24, 1933 in Brandon Township, Jackson County, Iowa, to Albert and Martha (Hamer) Edwards. Donald grew up in the Jackson County area and at an early age developed a love for the outdoors and farming. That love eventually became his vocation. He farmed in the Jackson County area all of his life. In addition to farming, Donald was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing for catfish or whatever was biting, and hunting, especially for deer, raccoon, rabbits and squirrels. The past few years he had cultivated a 2 acre garden. He also loved all of his "critters" around the farm.
