Denise L. Thede WILTON, Iowa--Denise L. Thede, age 43, of Wilton, died on Monday, May 21, 2012, at University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa, after an extended illness. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton. Interment will take place in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the church. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Denise was born on February 4, 1969, to Floyd and Dorothy Hartwig Becker Rhodes in Muscatine, Iowa. She graduated from Wilton High School, class of 1987. She married Mark A. Thede on September 24, 2006, in Tipton. Denise was an ophthalmic technician at the VA Hospital in Iowa City. She had previously worked at Eye Surgeon Associates in the Quad Cities. She attended the First Presbyterian Church, Wilton. She enjoyed camping and auto racing. Above all, she loved her family, friends and spending time with her children.
