at Westlawn until his retirement in 2005. Alan spent his summers overseeing the summer school program in Cedarburg for many years. Alan was an active member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, serving in many capacities. He was also a member of many professional educators associations. Alan loved spending time working in his yard. He also enjoyed golfing, his part-time job at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course, hunting and traveling with family and friends. A special joy was watching his grandchildren participate in a variety of activities. Alan is survived by his wife of 48 years Mary Lynne of Cedarburg, his three sons: Scott (Kathy) of Fish Creek, Todd (Debbie) of Madison and Chad (Julie) of Campbellsport. He is further survived by his five grandchildren: Taylor, Devan, William, Emma and Chloe, three siblings: Sandy (Ted) Hahm of Grafton, Roger (Diane) Schultz of Paris, TN and Debbie (Rich) Burt of Dover, FL, two sisters-in-law Jo Ellen McAvoy and Jane Martin both of Waukesha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Heidi, and his brother Harley Schultz. Memorial services to celebrate Alan's life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 3 pm at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave in Cedarburg with Rev. Mark Rohrback officiating. A gathering of friends will take place at the funeral home on Saturday June 2nd from 12-3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to either Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church's Building Fund, or the Cedarburg Community Scholarship Fund.
