Michael Henry Hogan DURANT, Iowa--Michael Henry Hogan, 68, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at his home in Durant. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Durant. Interment will take place in Durant Cemetery, Durant, where the Durant American Legion Post #430 will conduct military honors. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Mike was born on November 26, 1943, in Cedar County, the son of Henry and Luverna Broders Hogan. He married Karen Kaeferstein on September 16, 1961, in Davenport. He later married Julie J. Walter on July 26, 1975 in Moline, Illinois. Mike graduated from Durant High School in 1961, attended the University of Iowa and graduated from Muscatine Community College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mike farmed in Cedar County and owned and operated Hogan Financial Services in Durant.
