Betty L. Lindberg WEST BRANCH, Iowa -- Betty L. Lindberg, 90, died on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Crestview Care and Rehab Center in West Branch. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012, Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Branch. Burial will take place in West Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or Crestview Care and Rehab Center. Betty was born on December 16, 1921, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Luke and Ida Vogel Vortman. She was a graduate of Havana, Illinois High School and attended Business College. She married Gilbert Lindberg on December 27, 1941, in Havana, Illinois. She was member of TPM, Order of Eastern Star, Iowa City Swedish Club and County Line Club. Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Madsen and husband, Ronald, of West Branch, Susan Lindberg of Rolla, Missouri, and Cheryl Guenther and husband, Dan, of Morrison, Colorado; two sons, Gilbert Eric Lindberg of West Branch and Stephen Lind-berg of Iowa City; a sister-in-law, Betty Vortman of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchil...[more]
