Catherine M. Diaz IOWA CITY, Iowa--Catherine M. Diaz, 50, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation rites were facilitated by the Family Care Services Life Transition and Cremation Center, Muscatine, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Catherine's name. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Catherine Michelle Skidds was born on September 9, 1961, in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Roland B. and Catherine Zabbia Skidds. She had been employed as a cook at Jody's in Muscatine. She enjoyed reading, drawing, playing bingo and cards and going to the casinos. She will be deeply missed by her children, Brian Skidds of Muscatine, Tommy Unsworth of Portland, Oregon, and Elizabeth Unsworth of Arizona; one grandson, Elijah; two sisters, Marlene Lower and husband, Tom, of Aledo, Illinois, and Darlene Huston and husband, Rodney, of New Boston, Illinois; and two brothers, Michael Skidds and wife, Marla, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and John "J.B."
