Darlene Delores Dermand

Darlene D. Dermand, 76, of Little Elm, TX died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Vintage Health Care Center in Denton, TX. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center and prior to the service. Darlene Delores Holst, daughter of John and Delores Gochee Holst, was born January 17, 1936 in Claire. She graduated from Barnum High School, and attended ICCC in Fort Dodge receiving an associate teaching degree. She taught for many years in public and private schools. On Dec. 27, 1959, she married Theodore Nick Dermand. The couple resided in Webster City. Mr. Dermand preceded her in death on May 3, 1991. Mrs. Dermand is survived by her son, Ted William Dermand of Little Elm, TX; brother, Bernard (Julie) Holst of Des Moines; sisters, Janet (Glenn) DeVries of Fort Dodge; Sandy (David) Laga of Montgomery, TX; Marlys (Dean) Adkins of Clare; brothers-in-laws, Gus (Nancy) Dermand of Webster City; and Chris (Penny) Dermand of CA.
