John F. Lynett

John F. Lynett, of Antigo, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 69 years old. He was born on March 15, 1943 in Antigo, a son of the late Frank and Esther (McGee) Lynett. He married Lorrie Berndt on May 7, 1997 at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. She survives. He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1961. He operated a gas station in Antigo for several years before he began a career in sales starting with Arlen's Department Store in Wausau and Janesville. He later worked for Chambers Owen's Distributors in Janesville then reunited with Arlen's Department Stores in West Virginia. Mr. Lynett returned to Antigo in the mid 1990's where he worked at Stern Electronics then SNE Enterprises in Wausau. He retired in Antigo. In addition to his wife survivors include four daughters, Sherri, Tammy, Jennifer and Kimberly; two step-sons, Mark James, Wausau and Brian James, Antigo; a brother, Robert "Buck" (Marion) Lynett, Antigo; a sister, Juli Lynett, Antigo; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
