Robert W. Johnson

Robert W. Johnson, 70, of Keokuk, died at 9:47 am on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Keokuk Area Hospital. He was born on September 25, 1941 in Webster City, Iowa a son to Charles and Alice Duffy Johnson. Robert married Donna Riley on February 14, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa. She survives. Robert graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy. In December of 1865 to 1989 he was Director of Pharmacy in Moline Public Hospital, later employed Keokuk Area Hospital as Director of Pharmacy, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, pool, and in his younger years he was avid hunter of quail and pheasants. Robert is survived by his wife, Donna Johnson of Keokuk, Iowa; one son, Douglas Johnson and his wife Lisa of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter Kimberly Moody and her husband Joe of Woonsocket, South Dakota; five grandchildren: Ariana Grchan of South Dakota, Jessica Dunlap of South Dakota, Allison Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Bradley Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lauren Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one great grandchild, one sister: Elaine Stopplemoor of Mesquite, Texas; niece and nephews. services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, August 6, 2012 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers located at 917 Blondeau St. with Rev. William Mitchell officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Association.
