Neil R. Pearson

Neil R. Pearson, 77, of Fort Dodge passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2012. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday June 11, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Martens officiating. The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge, IA. Neil was born in Wahoo, NE on April 1, 1935 to Axel and Hattie (Roseberg) Pearson. He grew up on a farm in Ceresco, NE. He graduated from high school and then attended one year of college. He married Norma Jean McClarnon in 1955. He began working construction. He then worked in a factory before he started his career in sales. He worked for Omar Bakery and the Monarch Food Service where he later retired. He married Irene (Booheister) Young in 2003 and went back to work for Webster City RV until his second retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He loved taking care of his family, spending time with them was one of his great joys. He also enjoyed gardening, especially his roses.
