Edith H. Sinclair WEST BRANCH, Iowa--Edith H. Sinclair, 80, died on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at her home in West Branch. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Springdale United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Memorials may be made to Springdale United Methodist Church or the Boys Scouts of America. Edith was born on March 10, 1932, in Corydon, the daughter of John and Mary Trumper Blocher. She graduated from Corydon High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Gerald Sinclair on June 22, 1951, in Corydon. She was the head cook for the West Branch School Systems for 19 years. She was a member of Springdale United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Sinclair and wife, Shelly, of McGregor, and Brian Sinclair and wife, Deborah, of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Catherine Sinclair of Iowa City; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jason, Jennifer, Heather, Hannah, Mary, Rebecca, and Connor; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Isabella, Quentin, Anthony and Maxwell; and one sister, Norma Reuter of Topeka, Kansas. ...[more]
