Frances Mary Wood

Frances Wood, 90, of Webster City, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at her daughter's home in Webster City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Meyer, celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and at the church prior to the Mass. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. Friday followed by a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Frances Mary Julich, daughter of Fred and Frances Kries Julich, was born December 2, 1921 at Maple River, Iowa. She received her education at the Vinton School for the Blind and the Iowa Braille and Sight. On December 29, 1947, she married Charles Clayton Wood at the St. Francis Catholic Church at Maple River. The couple resided at Webster City then Coralville and returned to Webster City in 1960. She was a homemaker. Mr. Wood died August 20, 1986.
