several years. He then worked for Anamosa Silos and lastly as a caregiver with DAC, Inc. in Maquoketa. He retired in 2001. "Bob" was a member of the Delmar United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Delmar Lions Club. He was an avid bridge player, and a diehard fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes. He is remembered as a family oriented, sensitive man, who had a good sense of humor. He will be dearly missed. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Pat Hartley of Delmar, IA; a son, Scott (Mary Kay) Hartley of Shakopee, MN; 3 grandchildren, Megan, Chris and Alex; a sister, Edna Ehresman of Tipton, IA; a brother-in-law, Rick (Deb) Morrison of Brooklyn, IA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Robert R. "Bob" Hartley memorial fund.
