, who were her pride and joy. Mrs. Fitzgerald and her husband attended their grandson's activities as often as their busy schedules allowed. The summer months when the grandsons visited Glen Elder were their most cherished moments. She enjoyed biking, showing her beloved horse at local shows, working in her rose garden, working amongst the trees, and mostly teaching. She is survived by her two children, Carl Lewis Fitzgerald, II (Stephanie) on Manistee, Michigan, and Jeannette (Kelly) Kadel of New London, Iowa; six grandsons, Brandon, Conor, and Joshua Fitzgerald of Manistee, and Jake, Tristan, and Jarod Kadel of New London; two brothers, Dale (Karen) Gaumer of Indiana, and Jimmy Gaumer of Kansas; one sister, Mary Arnold of Colorado; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. There will be no services or visitation. Private family inurnment will be held in Kansas at a later date.
