Bonita "Bonnie" Mae Kruse

Bonita "Bonnie" Mae Kruse, 84, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa. She was born on March 1, 1928, in Downey, Iowa, to Sigurd and Irma (Lodge) Jensen. Bonnie graduated from West Liberty High School in West Branch and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She married Marion Mehmen on June 6, 1948, in West Branch, he preceded her in death. She then married Harvey Kruse on September 15, 1973, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Bonnie was a farm wife. She was a member of the KYN Club and the Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. Bonnie enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing cards, doing upholstery work and traveling to Texas for twenty-five years. Her family and friends were very important to her and she was like a grandma to everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-parents and husbands Marion and Harvey. Burial will take place in Garden of Memories in Waterloo, Iowa.
