GARNER - Lorraine E. Buckley, 75, of Garner died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at her home in Garner. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner with Revs. Janet Rieckhoff-Faris and Ed Bard officiating. Following the service her body will be cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date in Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 P.M., Thursday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., in Garner and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Lorraine Ethel Buckley, the daughter of Herman and Ethel (Schoenwetter) Meyer, was born April 4, 1937 on a farm west of Klemme. She attended Liberty No. 9 country school and graduated from Klemme High School in 1955. Lorraine continued her education at Iowa State Teacher's College. On October 5, 1962 she was married to Billy Buckley at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City. They lived in Forest City where Lorraine raised their family and worked as a seamstress at home. She was a member of the Klemme United Methodist Church, UMW, South Liberty Homemakers and Red Hat Society. Lorraine is survived by her children, Cheri (Mark) Prohaska of Garner and Cindy (H.A.) Gross of Stuart, IA; five grandchildren, Sara (Luke) Olson of Urbandale, Brad Prohaska of Goldsboro, NC, Melissa Glenn of Billings, MT, Jaret Cook of Billings, MT and Hailey Gross of Stuart; a great-grandson, Marley; a brother, Herman Richard (Pat) Meyer of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Jean (Dennis) Hansen of Whiteville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and a brother, Alvin Meyer.
