Thelma Jane (Winters) Glidden was born on June 13, 1939, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Edward and Clara Wilson Winters. She was baptized in Marshalltown, Iowa. She received her education from Marshalltown Public School.
On November 25, 1956, Thelma was united in marriage to Marion Dale Glidden in Marshalltown. After marriage, Thelma and Marion moved to Windom, Minnesota. Thelma worked for Toro as a machine operator for many years. She also was a caretaker for many family members throughout the years. Recently, Thelma's health started to decline. She passed away on Wednesday morning, October 10, 2012 at her home in Windom at the age of 73.
Thelma was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Windom. She enjoyed cooking, baking, hosting family get-togethers, animals, and most of all her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by five children, Peggy Schley and her husband, Dale, of Wabasso; Doug Glidden of Windom; Thomas Glidden and his wife, Dawn, of Bingham Lake; Angela Zamzow and her husband, Scott, of Windom; and Heidi Mattison and her husband, Dave, of Bingham Lake; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many sisters and brothers-in-law; and many...[more]

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion; one brother, Elmer Winters; and three sisters, Doris Edsall, Janice Gathye, and Helen Bittner.
