rbishment of St. Mathias after his retirement. He was an entrepreneur owning three Mr. Quick restaurants which later became Sizzling Sam's. He was partner in the Braun-Sachs Farm and was also co-owner of Knott Printers. He was an avid boater and enjoyed winters in Florida. He was a great Hawkeye fan and supporter. He was a member of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish, the Elks Lodge No 304, where he served as Past Exalted Ruler and the Grand District Deputy of Southeast Iowa Elks; and the Moose Lodge No. 388. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Joyce Sachs of Muscatine; two sons, Steven Sachs and wife, Dawn, of Swisher, and Jeff Sachs and wife, Pat, Duluth, Georgia; one daughter, Pamela Braun and husband, Michael, of Columbus Junction; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Braun, Jacob Braun and wife, Maria, Samuel Braun, Martin Braun and fiancé, Katherine Miller, Aaron Braun, Parker Sachs, and Morgan Sachs; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Alayna Braun. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, David Sachs.
