Funeral services for Joyce Ann Laing, 58, of Tipton who died Sunday, October 21, 2012 will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 10:30 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be at Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton. She was the daughter of Delmer and Irene Gienapp Maiden. She graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On October 20, 1973, she was united in marriage to Merlin John Laing in Martelle, Iowa. Joyce is survived by her husband, Merlin Laing of Tipton; daughter, Susan (Jon) Beranek of Tipton; father and step-mother, Delmar and Bernice Maiden of Anamosa; grandchildren, Jesse, Brady, Alicia, and Brittany; sisters, Darlene (Edgar) Larew and Karen Maiden both of West Branch; and her dogs, Sam and Trigger.
