Brian Smith IOWA CITY, Iowa--Brian David Smith, 47, of Columbus Junction, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics from injuries suffered in a farm accident. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the funeral home. Brian was born on January 18, 1965, in Washington, the son of Arnold Lee and Abbie Allene Miller Smith. On February 16, 1985, Brian was united in marriage to Barbara Bright in Columbus City. He had served in the US Army from 1985-1986. He had worked as a medical records clerk for the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He was a previous member of the Lone Tree JC's and enjoyed working in his garage, restoring motorcycles, working on model train layouts, and most of all, spending time with his grandkids.
