She crocheted many beautiful items including a "Lord's Prayer" panel for each of her children.  She was an avid learner and took many classes to expand her knowledge.  Most importantly, she spent every day of her life singing God's praises to her children. Lida is survived by six sons, Robert (Carolyn) Peterson of Waterloo, Iowa, Larry (Nancy) Peterson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Arlen Peterson of Aurora, Nebraska, Ron (Martha) Peterson of Indianola, Iowa, Dennis Peterson of Union, Iowa and Kent (Mary) Peterson of Webster City, Iowa.  She is also survived by six daughters, Lynn Fischer of Dumont, Iowa, Joan (Jerry) Hammond of Union, Iowa, Sally Peterson of Malone, Wisconsin, Phyllis (Perry) Barkey of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Lori Halverson of Eldora, Iowa and Renee (Kerry) Treinen of Malone, Wisconsin.  Lida is also survived by one sister Margaret Kniebes of Waupaca, Wisconsin, 35 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Lida is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.  She lost her precious husband Norman Andrew Peterson to death on January 18, 1992.  Sadly lost her eldest son Norman David Peterson at age 56 on January 28, 2000.  Two grandson's Steven Peterson and Jessie Barkey.  One great-grandson Jory Olson and one beloved daughter-in-law Patricia Peterson. Burial will take place at the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, Iowa
