Carol Faye Peterson

Carol Faye Peterson, 98, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton, Iowa. She was born on August 5, 1914, in rural Rowan, Iowa, to Bernard and Susie (Hiems) Fanselow. Carol graduated from High School in Rowan and from La James College of Cosmetology in Mason City, Iowa. She worked for Carol's Beauty Shop in Dows, was a house wife and drove truck for the family business. Carol married Reid Robert Bailey, he preceded her in death. She then married Verner Peterson, he also preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Hampton. Carol loved flowers and enjoyed traveling with her husband Verner. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Susie, husbands Reid and Verner, son Gary Bailey, grandson Jeffery Dean Worden and great-grandson Matthew James Sather. Burial will take place in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Hampton, Iowa.
