David B. Coffey, age 71, of Carlisle, OH; died Wednesday November 28, 2012. David was born in Middletown, OH on July 30, 1941 to Chester and Rachel (Bowermaster) Coffey. He served in the U.S.M.C and then on the Franklin Reserves, Germantown, and Centerville Police Departments, retiring from Centerville in 1993. David was a co-founder of the Miami Valley Weightlifting Club with dear friends Don Castle and Harry Hartman. He was very patriotic with a strong love for his country and lived by the Marine Corps motto of "Semper Fi" (always faithful). David was loved by his many friends and loved ones and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Mullins. David is survived by his wife of 44 years Carol (Banks) Coffey; his son Dr. Michael Coffey and wife Christine Colburn of Somerville, MA and daughter Kristen (Coffey) Myers and husband Tim Myers of Corning, NY; his 3 beloved grandchildren, Ella and Ryder Coffey, and Sophia Myers; and his twin brother Donald Coffey.
