. He was also in the reserves for 12 years. He farmed all of his life and when he retired from farming, he worked as a security guard for Grain Processing Corporation. He had also worked as an orderly for Muscatine General Hospital for years. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Joyce Hoag of Muscatine; five sons, Keith Hoag and wife, Judy, of Gonzales, Louisiana, Dale Hoag and wife, Joyce, of Muscatine, Steve Hoag and wife, Debbie, of Illinois City, Illinois, Kevin Hoag and wife, Jean of Mechanicsville, and Dean Hoag and wife, Kari, of Manheim, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Jill Jay and husband, Brian, of Davenport, and Jane Spray and husband, David, of Bettendorf; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one twin brother, Ralph Hoag and wife, Shirley, of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Hoag Jr.
