Patricia Moe

Patricia Jane Moe was born February 1, 1931, at Call State Park in Algona, daughter of Herbert Dick and Nettie Eva (Willey) Glimpse. She grew up in Algona and attended Algona High School. Pat was married to Thomas E. Moe Sr. on April 19, 1949, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. In earlier years, Pat worked at Ludwig's Restaurant and Sid's Café. She then worked at S & L Department Store and then K-Mart for 15 years until retiring. Pat enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and reading. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting teddy bears and going to the casino. Patricia J. Moe died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society Algona at the age of 81. She had been a resident there since March, 2011. She is survived by nine children; Nancy (Louis) Braunstein of Livermore, CA, Helen Marie Moe of Santa Ana, CA, Pam (Roger) Groo of Vernal, UT, Terry (David) McFarland of Sergeant Bluff, Mary (Brian Jones) Ihde of Russellville, AR, Bruce (Laurie) Moe of Algona, Rick (Jenny) Moe of Lawton, OK, Ralph Moe of Lawton, OK, and Danny Moe of Sioux City; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Pals of Algona; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
