Martin J. Gresh, age 87, of Fort Washington, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Abington Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Jacob and Susan (nee Krawchuk) Gresh. Martin was preceded in death by his wife Carina A. "Tina" (nee Kinsinger) Gresh in 1990; and brothers and sister, Michael, Stephen, Joseph, and Mary Pastir.
Martin served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946.
He was a Machinist, employed by Honeywell in Philadelphia and Ft. Washington for 25 years prior to retiring in 1973.
Mr. Gresh was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler, Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1, NRA, South Birdsboro Rod & Gun Club, and was the last surviving member of the Nicetown Rod & Gun Club.
Martin is the devoted father of Gary M. Gresh (Pam Feineis) of Fort Washington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends are invited to call after 9:00 AM on Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave. Ambler. A Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM with Rev. John T. Lyons as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
