Harold W. Cox MUSCATINE, Iowa--Harold Woodrow Cox, 100, of Muscatine, formerly Louisa County passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Carrington Place Care Center. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Pastor Roger Hubbard will be officiating. Casket bearers will be Allen Jordan, Jim Bieri, Ted Small, Greg Stephens, Kevin Sprague, Bob Stephens, Steve Sprague and Hal Luebke. Honorary bearers will be Jerry Lamp, Chet Hafner and Marvin Thomas. Burial will take place in Letts Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Harold's name. Harold was born on August 21, 1912, in Kellerton, the son of Fred M. and Esther L. Toland Cox. On October 5, 1934, Harold was united in marriage to Inez J. Mahaffey in Davenport. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was a longtime farmer in the Louisa County area.
