James "Tiny" Duncan

James Edward Duncan was born on December 14, 1939 in Heron Lake, Minnesota to Lewis and Florence (Horkey) Duncan. He received his education from Heron Lake Public Schools. Jim served in the Army Reserves for eight years. On August 4, 1962, Jim was united in marriage to Nancy Bogle at the First Baptist Church in Windom. After their marriage, Jim and Nancy lived in Windom where Jim worked many different jobs. He worked for thirteen years as a truck driver and then went to work at Butterfield Produce. After working there, Jim went to work at Campbell Soup Company in Worthington and Rank Scherr-Tumico in St. James. Jim's health began to decline recently and in September of 2012, Jim moved into Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lakefield, Minnesota. Jim passed away on Monday afternoon, January 7, 2013 at the Windom Area Hospital at the age of 73. Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Windom where he sang in the church choir and was an Awana leader. He was also a lifetime member of the Minnesota Deer Hunter's Association and a member of Duck's Unlimited. est enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Nancy Duncan of Windom; one son, Thomas Duncan and his wife, Kari, of Mountain Lake; two grandchildren; five siblings, Robert Duncan and his wife, Mary, of Windom; Sandra Horn of Tracy; Sheri Nelson and her husband, Bob, of Surprise, AZ; Larry Duncan and his wife, Sharon, of Avoca; and Bill Duncan and his wife, Barb, of Colorado Springs, CO; mother-in-law, Marie Bogle of Windom; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers-in-law, Robert Bogle, Tom Ritter, and Ike Horn; one niece, Abby Jo Ritter; four nephews, Michael Duncan, James Robert Bogle, Scottie Bogle, and Zachary Bogle; and great nephew, Austin Boerboom. Blessed be the memory of James "Tiny" Duncan.
