He also served as Interim or Supply Minister to churches in Carroll and throughout the Des Moines Presbytery serving Des Moines and Central Iowa. Harold is survived by his wife Darlene; sister-in-law Dorothy Butz in Columbus, OH; five sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law in Maquoketa and surrounding areas; 27 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Robert, mother and father in-law, Clayton and Evelyn Clark, two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and one niece. The family wishes to thank Wesley Life Home Care, Nurse Force, Mercy Hospice, Dr. Ben Collins, Betty Streets, and Julie Thompson for end of life care that enabled Harold to remain in his home - and adopted stray cat, Molly, who sat on his lap and about whom he said, "any little bit of happiness is good for me." Visitation starts at 1 P.M., the service is at 2 P.M. with burial immediately following.
