Jeremy K. Koon, 33, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at his home in Maquoketa. A celebration of Jeremy's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 23, 2013, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa. Jeremy Karsten Koon was born on October 5, 1979 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to David and Judy (Ewing) Koon. He was a 1998 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School and had attended Clinton Community College. Jeremy worked as a site coordinator for Burns Security. This was a job he really liked, and allowed him the opportunity to work with several companies including Family Dollar and Marycrest College in Davenport. He had also worked construction for independent contractors and most recently was doing computer repairs from home. Those left to honor Jeremy's memory include his parents, Dave and Judy Koon of Maquoketa, IA; a brother, David Koon, Jr. of Des Moines, IA; his paternal grandmother, Elmeretta "Etta" Koon of Maquoketa, IA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Verna and Ivan Ewing, and his paternal grandfather, Dale Koon. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Jeremy K.
