Ardis Coleen Larson

Ardis C. Larson, 71, of Fort Dodge, died January 21, 2013. A service honoring her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Badger Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darryl Landsverk officiating. Interment will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery. The visitation is 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Badger Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Ardis is survived by her husband Brian; her sons, Eric (Tricia) Larson, Karl (Jennifer) Larson, and Brent (Christine) Larson, all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zachary, A.J., Noah, Emily, Abigail, Eli, Isaac, Abram and Micah; her brother Duane (Gladys) Johnson, Badger; and her many nephews and nieces. Ardis was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Rae and her parents. Ardis Coleen Johnson, the daughter of Arthur and Charlotte (Hovick) Johnson, was born August 7, 1941 in Fort Dodge. n marriage to Brian Larson at Badger Lutheran Church. She raised her children and served as church organist at Badger Lutheran Church for 51½ years, rarely missing a wedding or funeral. Ardis was a member of Badger Lutheran Church. She was active in the JOY Fellowship Circle at her church along with her women's group. She was a member of WELCA and served as accompanist for the church choir as well. Ardis loved to bake and cook for her family and friends and always considered herself as a servant to others. Ardis especially treasured time spent with her family.
