Michael Carroll

Michael Carroll, 49, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born December 4, 1963 to Major John and Beverly (Day) Carroll in Merced, California. Michael married Kyung Ja McCoy in Green Bay. He worked at JBS in Green Bay. He loved Disneyland and was a history buff. Michael was reserved and honorable with a dry sense of humor. Michael was a graduate of the US Naval Academy, class of '87 and served his country stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Michael is survived by his sister, Julie (Joseph) Zouzounis; grandmother, Mary Carroll Hancock; uncles, Jim Carroll, Billy Carroll, Robert Day; aunts, Paula Carroll, Gail Carroll; nephews, Nicholas, Johnathan Zouzounis, and eleven cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his wife followed. Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Smith officiating, and military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Michael's name to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). [more]
