AGNES MILLER
BETTENDORF, Iowa -- Agnes F. Miller, 95, of Bettendorf, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Iowa Masonic Health Facilities, Bettendorf.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, First Presbyterian Church,
1702 Iowa St., Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from Noon-1:00 p.m. at the church
Agnes was born in 1917 in Muscatine County.
She married Horace Miller on Jan. 25, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1980.
She was a registered nurse working for the former St. Luke's Hospital and Rock Island Arsenal, and worked the polio epidemic in Rockford in 1945.
She served in the Army Nurses Corps during WWII. She retired in 1993 after partnering with her husband in the Miller-McKinney Insurance Agency for 32 years.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Davenport.
Survivors include daughter, Judith (Doug) Nelson, Bettendorf, son, Bob (Marsha) Miller, Bettendorf and four grandchildren, Erica Nelson, Emily Nelson, Tina (Mark) Richter and Joe (Angela) Jimenez.
