Sobchak, Alyce Douglas, 77, of Ft. Lauderdale, passed away on February 3, 2013. Alyce was a teacher for the Chicago Public Schools and at First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale and a writer and reviewer for 'Goings On About Town' of The New Yorker Magazine. Alyce is survived by her husband Frank, her sons Frank Kenneth (Iris) of Holliston MA; and Charles Leroy (Alicia) of Davie, FL; grandchildren Josh, Nathaniel, Catherine, Frank, Ana, Audrey and Alyce; her brothers Kenneth Douglas of Arvada, CO and Charles Douglas of Chicago, IL and her sister Dianne Douglas of Cherry Hill, NJ. She is preceded in death by her brother Malcolm Root Douglas. Family will hold a private service.[more]
