Carl "Andy" Anderson

Carl "Andy" Anderson, 86, Howard, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was born on September 17, 1926 to the late Carl and Una Anderson in Green Bay. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946. Andy married Marion Verber on January 3, 1948. She preceded him in death on October 30, 1979. He married Genevieve Van Straten in December of 1980 and they were married for 32 years. Andy was a pipe fitter by trade and worked at James River for over 40 years. He enjoyed family get-togethers, riding his golf cart, evenings with Gen and visiting his neighbors and friends. He and Gen enjoyed spending winters in Arizona for 16 years. Andy was an avid Brewer and Packer fan and loved chocolate. He was a long-time member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Andy was a member of Ashwaubenon VFW Post #10244. Andy is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Clara Anderson; brothers, Bob Anderson and Ken Anderson; sister, Betty LeMere; sister-in-law, Jackie Anderson; brother-in-law, Bob Verber; daughters-in-law, Jean Anderson and Geri Anderson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 pm until the vigil service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 13 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida Street, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am with Rev. Richard Mauthe officiating. Military honors will follow. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in De Pere. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
