Patricia (Donahue) Higgins

Patricia Ann was born May 1, 1930, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary "Mollie" (Miller) Donahue. She attended St. Mary's Academy, Emmetsburg. Pat was united in marriage to Dick Higgins on October 23, 1950 at Assumption Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Together, the couple farmed in Great Oak Township where they raised their four children. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ayrshire, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Great Oak Card Club. In 1988, the couple moved to Emmetsburg. Pat was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish, Emmetsburg Saint Patrick's Association. Pat enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping, decorating for the holidays and going to dances with Dick. She loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities. On Wednesday, August 2, 2006, Patricia passed away at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg.
