Dorothy Geraldine Hamilton

Dorothy Geraldine Hamilton was born June 6, 1923, in Cylinder, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore and Elsie (Lawrence) Naig. She attended Cylinder Schools, and she graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1941. Dorothy was united in marriage to Thomas Hamilton on August 26, 1946 in Estherville, Iowa. Together, Dorothy and Tom ran Hamilton's T.V. where Dorothy took care of the bookkeeping. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was very active in the ladies' aide. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, reading, working crossword puzzles and playing cards. She loved to spend time with family and friends, and she always looked forward to visits from her many nieces and nephews. On Monday, August 16, 2010, Dorothy passed away peacefully at her home in Emmetsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tom in April of 2001; two infant sons: Donald and Robert Hamilton; brothers: Truman and Donald Naig; and sister, Marjorie Twait.
