Robert Allen Maxwell

Robert Allen "Max" Maxwell was born March 25, 1947 in Topeka, KS, the son of Mercier and Ernestine (Simnitt) Maxwell. The family moved to Illinois when max was a toddler. He graduated from Valley View Grades School in Romeoville, IL, and he attended Lockport West High School before joining the United States Marine Core. Max entered the Marines in 1964, and he served in Vietnam. He had several different jobs until he decided he loved to drive truck. Max graduated from truck driving school and began driving over-the-road until 1992 when he moved to Iowa. Max worked for Emmetsburg Ready Mix until 2002 when he developed throat cancer. Max was united in marriage to Yvonne Krieger on September 13, 2008 at the Grace Baptist Church in Emmetsburg. Through a series of events in his life, Max came back to God and church where he was continuously growing in his faith. Max was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He loved children, animals and life. On Thursday, March 24, 2011, Max passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. Krieger of California and Kevin Krieger and his wife, Brenda of Morris, IL; seven grandchildren; two brothers: Dean Maxwell of Joliet, IL and Carl Maxwell of Romeoville, IL; four sisters: Esther Crane, Patty Kalous and Sylivia Ann Hathaway all of Florida and Rose Ellison of Tiptonville, TN.
