Dale Titus

Dale Titus was born October 5, 1937, in Pocahontas, IA, the son of Wayne and Nanny Irene (Johnson) Titus. He attended Mallard Community Schools. On April 25th, 1959, Dale was united in marriage to Beverly Helmick in Jackson, MN. The couple moved to Estherville after their marriage and spent time in Wallingford and Osgood before settling on acreage West of Graettinger in 1972. Dale farmed and worked construction for Fagra Construction in Estherville and also for his brother, Dennis. Later, he worked at several manufacturing firms including Shaver, Mfg. in Graettinger, Arts-Way Mfg. in Armstrong and Bob-a-lee in Laurens. Dale enjoyed welding, working with metal, farming, gardening especially his rose garden. Recently, Dale was fond of watching wildlife, especially birds and squirrels. Dale was a member of the United Methodist Church in Graettinger. On Thursday, April 14, 2011, Dale passed away at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. He was 73 years old.
