"I had the honor to meet joe, I work at brandy wine. Joe always had a way to always make me smile., especially when he would play the piano and when residents complained he kept playing, he was a delight. I will always remember him and he will be missed. My condolence to JOES family. "

"To my great "Buddy" Joe. Joe & I worked together at Sun Life Insurance Co. for 29 years. We became "best buddies" in all that time. We played golf together for over 25 years every Friday afternoon after our office visit on Friday mornings. Elva and my wife, Annette, became best of friends. We often talked about our trips to the Casinos in Atlantic City NJ every week after we both retired. I retired in 1984. Am so glad we kept in touch all of these years. Give our Love to Elva, Joe, and thanks for the memories. Ernie and Annette Blyler Clearwater, FL."

"Uncle Joe, I feel Blessed that I knew you, and lived two doors away from you and Aunt Elva. You always were there for me,even after Bea & Jim (Granny & Grandpop) passed. I knew you were only a phone call away! When I had a what " I " thought was an emergency with ANYTHING, you assured me YOU would be there. For instance when my dryer broke, a simple phone call and it was repaired by the weekend ! BY ME!!!! I was able to repair it with your patience and instructions ! I am glad you are with your Elva, but I miss you both . Love Marianne "

"I was very blessed to have met Uncle Joe in 2010. Words cannot express the admiration I have for this man despite the brief time I've had with him. You can clearly see his legacy through family and friends. I will never forget his sharp one liners and gentle smile. This poem is for you Uncle Joe: Every day and every night...when you feel the need...To hold me tight...Just blow a kiss into the sky...For I will be that close by...In the Heavens throughout the day...I watch over you and hear you pray...I see you smile and shed a tear...For you know that I'm still near...I'm the Angel of your eye...Your Angel in the sky... "My Uncle Joe was a good men who loved his whole family . He truly loved his Mother.MY memories are many from him & my dad swinging me in the air as a little girl Squealing for joy ( Frightened a little bit too) to him being in KY & Germany in WWII. Mary & I made a " record" of us singing " God Bless America" & Hello Joe"s from the rest of our family to "cheer' him from the " Homefront". When he & Aunt Elva moved to Rosalie Street after his discharge from the Army & Mike & Tom were born. I loved to visit a lot. Really once a week at least! Over the years Uncle Joe& I shared a lot. He was good to me. I am so happy Iv"e had him for as long in my life. I kept in touch by phone & letters. We could talk about the things no one else remembered or even knew about. It was so special just like him!!!!"

"Words cannot express the gratitude and admiration that I have for my father, Joe Dolan. What he could not teach me himself, he made sure that I had the opportunity to see it or learn it somewhere. He showed me what a faithful husband, good father and strong family looked like. He was a proud veteran and I was proud of him. He shaped my education and my Christian foundation and struggled to send me to college where I was able to meet Rosalie and form our own strong family. He had a good life of 99 years and a peaceful passing. I know that he is in a better place and reunited with my mother whom he missed for 11 years. All my love, Dad. Tom "
