Mr. Floyd Wallace, Sr, the third eldest of twelve children, was born July 10, 1920 in Lee County, AL to the parentage of the late Rev. P.W. and Cornelia Floyd Wallace. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Tallassee Community Hospital, Tallassee, AL. Mr. Wallace received an education in the Lee County Public Schools. He was a staunch employee of the Clark Burial Vault Company, Columbus, OH for over 40 years as a welder at the time of his retirement. He was known by many of his old friend as "Goldbug and other friends and family as "Jack." He was a former member and deacon at the Tried Stone Baptist Church, Columbus, OH. He was a member of two bowling leagues in north Columbus before failing health. He was the son of the late Rev. P.W. and Cornelia Floyd Wallace. He was preceded in death by four brothers, T.J., Percy, Bennie and R.E. Wallace. Relatives: a dear and devoted companion, Carol A. Jones.
