Funeral Innovations is excited to announce a partnership with the Iowa Funeral Directors Association (IFDA). This unique collaboration will provide IFDA members a social media solution that is both effective and affordable. The goal of this partnership is to help members educate their community on the value of funeral services and be seen as the expert in their local communities. In less than five minutes, each member can deploy a social media strategy consisting of industry relevant content and custom content provided by the IFDA.
The executive director of the IFDA, Suzanne Gebel, was seeing growing interest from her membership in social media. The challenge was that a majority of the member funeral homes could not afford the current offerings. We presented an idea to Suzanne, and the board of directors, where we could leverage our Social Media Copilot to offer a unique solution for their membership.
“This partnership between Funeral Innovations and IFDA is especially exciting because it provides a benefit that funeral homes NEED. A social media presence is essential to survival for a business in today’s world and the Social Media Copilot provides a perfect way for funeral homes to stay in front of community members with educational messages, including that funeral directors are the local experts to turn to at their greatest time of need.” says Suzanne.
This education initiative with the IFDA is driven by our Social Media Copilot. We’ve created an Educate version focused on content delivery and added the unique ability for the IFDA to distribute their own custom content to their members’ posting schedules automatically. This custom content covers a variety of topics and have a focus on relevant Iowa subjects. This unique ability to offer local content is only available in our Social Media Copilot.
“We have an education problem in funeral service. Cremation rates are increasing, competition is growing and there a lack of consumer understanding on the value of funerals. I’m excited for this opportunity to partner with the IFDA to collaborate and enhance awareness and community education. “, says Greg Young, Co-founder of Funeral Innovations.
We’ve worked with the IFDA to develop a marketing plan to help bring awareness of this offering to their membership. The response has been amazing in the first month and we are excited to continue to reach out to each member to join us in this education initiative.
